Matthew Wright

Matthew is the latest addition to our equestrian team. The talented event rider is based at Lound near Retford and is hoping to secure a place in the British team for the 2012 Olympics.

He is promoting The Crown to the eventing world in an ambassadorial role and, like Simon and Kelly, can regularly be seen socialising and dining in the hotel bar and restaurant.

Matthew has enjoyed a storming start to 2011, finishing a highly creditable 18th on Well Spotted at the international Mitsubishi Badminton Horse Trials and securing several victories that have propelled him up the worlds rankings alongside great riders such as Mark Todd, Andrew Nicholson and Ollie Townend.

He has a strong stable of event horses for a loyal base of owners, and is looking forward to more successes with the promising Dark Crusader - a dual winner in Scotland this year - Noisette Des Pres, Fernhill Express, Trooper Watson and the ever-reliable Hugginstown.

He continues to compete at all the top events in Britain and Europe and hopes to break into the Great Britain team again this season following
success at the European Championships in 2005 and as a member of Britain's silver medal-winning Young Riders' Team in 2002.
