Television racing presenter Simon works closely with The Crown as a consultant, with the aim of forging even stronger links between the hotel and the sport.

 

Simon, who can be seen regularly on At The Races on Sky Sports channel 415, has been instrumental in developing several key initiatives, including the sponsorship of jockey Kelly Harrison and the launch of an innovative partnership between The Crown, Doncaster Racecourse and The Curragh in Ireland.

The partnership has been set up to encourage racing enthusiasts from Ireland to visit Doncaster, and stay at The Crown for a special discounted rate, and in return Ireland's premier racetrack is offerig packages to likeminded visitors from South Yorkshire.

 

Simon has worked in television for 10 years, fronting many key race meetings for At The Races such as the prestigious Ladbrokes St Leger Festival, the William Hill Lincoln and the Racing Post Trophy meetings at Doncaster.

 

He is also a presenter on the ground-breaking internet station William Hill Radio, and has written for numerous racing publications including the Racing Post and Raceform Update. He has also published several books on All-Weather racing, and as a successful owner has bought and raced the winners of 40 races.
